Where is the IEM mid-market gone ?
I'd look into the FLC 8s and Dunu 2000j. They're the mid-tier IEMs that I've seen get the most buzz recently outside the Noble line. Granted they're both around like 350 bucks but the Dunu 2000j is said to be almost identical to one of the AKG 3003 filters and a lot of people prefer the FLC 8s...- Heir Apparent

Looking for some decent IEMs around 100$ (solved)
If I were looking for IEMs around 100 dollars I would start looking at the Trinity Audio Delta or RHA MA 750i. I've also heard the Audio Technica IM70s are good for the price. Edit: A third party seller on Amazon is selling the Flare Audio R2As for 120 bucks which is a steal and is probably the...- Heir Apparent

Flare Audio R2PRO Kickstarter campaign
Just got my replacement cable and am now reminded of how wonderful the Pros are after months without them. Vocal repoduction, resolution, Timbre and balanced but emotive frequency will probably have my other IEMs collecting dust for a while. It really is a shame about the cables but I can't...- Heir Apparent

Flare Audio R2PRO Kickstarter campaign
Cable for my R2Pro broke months ago and I swore I wouldn't buy a replacement cable until Flare made something worth the price of admission. However I am really starting to miss it. My Westone 3s and Vmoda M-100s aside from Bass Quantity are outclassed by the R2Pro and I may just cave in. Has...- Heir Apparent

LG V10 : New ESS Chipped Flagship Android Phone from LG
My current portable set-up is a OnePlus One using USB OTG with an Audioquest Dragonfly 1.2 DAC/Amp. Can anyone comment on the V10's HiFi DAC versus the Dragonfly?- Heir Apparent

If you wear them down they're fairly heavy. It doesn't bother me much but it's noticeable. That being said you can wear them over-ear and they don't feel heavy at all that way.- Heir Apparent

Flare Audio R2PRO Kickstarter campaign
The R2 Pros are the flattest earphones I own. I'm considering writing and mixing music soon so could I get away with using my R2 Pros for this purpose? I'd rather not buy another pair of headphones at the moment and studio monitors wouldn't be ideal either since I'm living in a dorm for the next...- Heir Apparent

DUNU DN-2000J -- More Than Evolution?
I'm interested in these since they sound like a great complement to my R2 Pros. Can anyone comment on using the foam tips with the bass ring as a means to tame the treble? I like bright but I don't like sibilance.- Heir Apparent

What are the best IEM's under 1000$?
You sound like a good candidate for the Flare Audio R2 Pros. Laid back treble with beautiful mids and great Bass response. They also have a massive soundstage and are very clear. You can get them pretty cheap second hand too. Should leave you with more than enough cash for a good portable amp.- Heir Apparent

Considering the use of a rare material, the price-to-performance ratio and cable quality I feel like I can excuse it.- Heir Apparent

It's plastic. It's odd considering otherwise the earphone feels somewhat premium for the price point.- Heir Apparent

Tips are fine to me. Although these do leak more than my PFE 232 they're still good enough to me. I feel like Comply's could be an upgrade for isolation and comfort but given the already bassy sound signature I'm concerned it may be a downgrade in sound quality.- Heir Apparent
