Chord Mojo 2 Thread ___ [product released January 31, 2022 -- starting on page 95 of thread]

Thanks Rob, the frequency response of my room at the listening position is about +12db at 40hz so I'm keen counter that with EQ. If I tried the B&W 803 D3 in my room the listening chair would be bouncing with bass resonances/boomy bass. I will keep a keen eye on Chord Electronics new products.

Chord Mojo 2 Thread ___ [product released January 31, 2022 -- starting on page 95 of thread]

@Rob Watts Hi Rob, thank you for the music. I've been enjoying my original Hugo TT for many years now. Just wanted to ask if the lossless DSP feature is going to be implemented in future versions of Hugo or Hugo TT? I would find this useful for fine tuning problematic room acoustics, reducing...

Chord Hugo TT High End DAC Amp Impressions Thread

They fixed it free of charge (it was new and under warranty). I believe this was a common problem with the old original TT - Chord later changed a component in the design to eradicate the problem in later models. Something to do with the component that powers the display if I remember rightly...

Thanks Hugh, good to know. Hifisound is where I purchased my TT! They are a good bunch, highly recommended.

Hugo TT 2 by Chord Electronics - The Official Thread

Has anyone compared the TT2 to the original TT? I've never listened to another DAC that I prefer more than the original TT. I've listened to Dave, Qutest, and Hugo 2. Found Dave to sound too processed, Qutest and Hugo 2 to sound too harsh/bright/forward/lack a certain warmth and musical quality...

Thanks Miketlse. I guess there's only one way to find out. I might ask to borrow a local dealer's demo and give it a try.

Hugo TT 2 by Chord Electronics - The Official Thread

Hi Rob, would it be sensible for the TT2 to drive Harbeth 30.1 speakers in a 4.2m x 4m room? Speaker sensitivity is 85dB/1W/1m, Impedance is specified as 6 ohms. Thanks for any advice.

Hugo TT 2 by Chord Electronics - The Official Thread

JUST CHECKED INTERNET ARCHIVE (https://web.archive.org/web/20170301213622/https://chordelectronics.co.uk/product/hugo-tt/) - CHORD DID INDEED CHANGE THE WARRANTY FROM 5 TO 3 YEARS ON THE TT. WE WERE RIGHT!

Hugo TT 2 by Chord Electronics - The Official Thread

Oh, my apologies, for some reason I had 5 years in my head. Looking at the instruction manual there is no mention of the warranty period. What is interesting is that quite a few online stores also show 5 year warranty.

Hugo TT 2 by Chord Electronics - The Official Thread

The original Hugo TT came with a 5 year warranty, the new TT 2 only comes with a 3 year warranty. Dissapointing to say the least. Any reason for the reduced warranty?

    Watts Up...?

Thanks Rob for the comprehensive reply, sorry for not researching and reading your previous posts on this. I'm not going to pretent I understand but it certainly sounds convincing! Your post helps me decide between differing DAC products.

    Watts Up...?

Sorry yes I should have made it clear the upconversion us done using a 32 bit floating point calculation.

    Watts Up...?

Rob, I'd be interested to know your thoughts on hardware DACS that upconvert PCM 44.1kHz to single bit DSD at 11.2896MHz (32-bit floating-point precision) where the high-frequency signal produced is processed by a unique stage, used in place of a conventional DAC (DAC-less I guess), to produce...

    Watts Up...?

It's not always possible to fix room problems with room treatment in a typical hifi listening room. Take my room for example, I have a low frequency peak at around 45hz of around 12db at the listening position due to a room mode and standing waves. It's nigh impossible to treat low frequencies...

    Watts Up...?

Hi Rob. I'm forever enjoying reading posts. Now that you are developing an AD convertor and already have several superb DACs have you ever tried cycling A to D then back again to A and compared the results? I guess with perfect convertors you should not hear any audible difference. Perhaps after...
