    What's a good portable headphone $100 alternative to m50x

Take a look at the many reviews of Brainwavz HM5 or NVX-XPT100. The NVX-XPT100 are usually 79.90 on Amazon. They are both easy to drive at 64 ohm impedance. If you cannot find a local store to listen to them both you can buy from Amazon to take advantage of their generous return policy. There...

Thought you might like them. They are a bit overpriced, but they are well made, curved top so they don't damage padding and they don't spread the headbands apart and lessen clamp like some other stands do.

I wear glasses and in need of new headphones

I hope you find something you like. If you go with the Sound Blaster EVO ZX Wireless Headset you can pair your phone to them so you don't miss a call, text, or alarm while watching videos or gaming. At their original price of $250.00 I wouldn't buy but since I have seen them on sale for $89.00...

Any shop in US to try the portable audio?

I meant to say I don't know where you are in relation to music stores. I moved from State College,PA to Dallas,TX and have forgotten how to read. I had a few really helpful people tell me to do the same thing before I bought new audio equipment based on strangers recommendations. Out of 5 great...

Any shop in US to try the portable audio?

I dont know where you are but if there is a Guitar center http://www.guitarcenter.com near you try there. Otherwise most music stores carry a good selection that you can try out before making a decision.

I wear glasses and in need of new headphones

I am not too proud to admit that I own non Hi Fi cans, I do own 2 pair of wireless headsets Sound Blaster EVO ZX Wireless Headset $135.00 in your price range, and SteelSeries H Wireless Gaming Headset $299.00 Amazon, (I have seen these in your price range on eBay) I also wear glasses and have...

Compatible Ear Pads for the Beyerdynamic DT-250?

Beyerdynamic DT250V Headphone Ear Pads Black at Amazon $27.58. As for the additional bass response I do not know since I don't own a pair. But usually leather or pleather pads do isolate and seal better.   http://www.amazon.com/Beyerdynamic-EDT250V-Headphone-Pads-Black/dp/B0016MF7W2

    recommend a desktop stand

If you need any other off desk hangers my favorites are Brainwavz Hengja and Truss, both metal and the best for the money. I have used all cheap plastic and expensive plastic and these two are the best. When I used the Truss I did drill holes when I mounted it under a shelf over my old desk...

You will like the Woo Audio stand, be warned owning it will make you want to buy new cans to put on it. But then so will reading anything at Head-Fi.

Headphone Amp recommendation - home studio, DT880Pro 250

The Micca OriGen $99.00, I have been using this for my DT990 250 Ohm for the last week and it is great foobar2000 on PC and iTunes on Mac. I borrowed a few others from friends (Schiit and Objective2 with ODAC) but this seems to do the same job for $100.00 to $200.00 less. The others may be...

    Audio Technica ATH-M50X thoughts

I own a pair of ATH-M50x's but only keep them since they were a gift. I spent a weekend using a loaner pair of Brainwavz HM5's which are cheaper, better sounding and also far more comfortable. But I like the DT990 as my go to cans for videos and music until I can decide on a better option. My...

    New headphones or new amp?

I personally like the DT 990 250 Ohm and Amp/DAC with MacBook Pro. The Amp is the Origen and works great driving the DT 990's. USB powered so no cords. I still want a better Amp in the future but for $99.00 this thing is great for an entry level portable combo.

    ATH M50X vs DT 770

I have limited headphones and have had a chance to borrow quite a few. Since you didn't set a price I would say take a look at Brainwavz HM5 $119.00, closed back, really comfortable, and a lot of reviews from the members here.
