Hum from my cable tv line.
So I recently hooked my tube amp to my dvd player and television. Unfortunately I have noticed if my amp is connected to anything, and I mean anything that is connected to the coax line (either audio or video cables) then it produces a hum. So say I have the coax line going to my cable box which...- Gmd

Aarrggghhhh....now I've got power issues!
I recently purchased the VH Audio hotbox with filter upgrade (~$340). I got the six foot coord and I am very pleased with it. Now I just have to let it burn in for 100+ hours.- Gmd

Pre-Amp and Amp or Just Integrated?
I have the Jolida 102B, amazing little amp. Has four inputs, 20W a channel and it powers my speakers just fine which are 50W/75W max. Sounds amazing with nice tight bass and awesome midrange.- Gmd

Clear Audio Emotion
Anyone familiar with this player? It was recommended to me by a local store as the best record player near the $1000 mark. Unfortunately they didn't have a demo unit at the time so I could not listen to it. If you know anything about it or have listened to one I would like to hear your opinions...- Gmd

DIY Cable Gallery!!
Just finished these, used red Canare L-5CFB coax cable with their RCA connectors. Braided it with 3/8 inch blue techflex and 1/4 inch black techflex ontop of the blue. I am quite pleased how they turned out, the flash makes the black heatshrink look really dirty but it isn't.- Gmd

rich+warm interconnect for $150?
I've had a piar of 1m Outlaw Audio interconnects for about two years now and I am very pleased with them. I don't think they can be beat for the price. Also the cables I made out of canare L-5CFB are very good but a tad brighter than the Outlaws.- Gmd

Help Needed: Jon Risch's Belden 89259/89248 IC's
I usually break even when making cables but exluding the costs of the tools I purchased my DIY speakers were about $200 a piece and that is much much cheaper than I would pay for similar speakers using the same drivers. I think I remember seeing one set of Krell speakers go for $4500 when they...- Gmd

Turntable conundrum
My local Hi-Fi store recommended the Music Hall MMF 2.1 or MMF 5 combined with a Clear Audio Micro-Basic premap when I asked them what was good for an entry level turntable/preamp. They also said if you were willing to spend more on the turntable that the clear audio emotion was probably the...- Gmd

I recently used some Canare L-5CFB coax cable with the canare rca crimp connectors and they sound great to me. Also the cables arn't stiff at all and actually bend fairly well.- Gmd
