I am still debating whether I should get HIFImeDIY Sabre DAC for these headphones...   Does anyone, aside from BenF, recommend this DAC?

I would say that in order to get excellent sound of them, at least 150 hours of constant pounding is required and then weeks to get your brain accustomed to the sound signature.   This music sounds superb with these headphones. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qDAAA9Ri68c&feature=share

I still haven't gotten a chance to purchase a Sabre DAC, just using Asus Xonar DX sound card, and my ears are now more or less used to the sound signature(since early Jan). These headphones sound great at Trip-Hop, electronic, Hip-Hop, etc. I do not understand why would anyone would want to sell...

Very nice. What is your sound card? Mine is Xonar DX and here are my settings,   Here are my phone(HTC Sensation) settings using PowerAmp.   I tried your settings, to my ears, the 500hz is really lacking for my music. What genre do you listen to?

Yes they sound fine unamped. They sound great with my phone, which I suppose doesn't have an amp.

My friend that listen to a lot of rock. It will replace his Skullcandy headphones. He was planning to buy Beats by Dr.Dre. I told him, don't destroy your manhood and gave him a gift for Christmas/Birthday. He really likes them!

My turn to review. :)   I bought two headphones from Ebay seller bear84speeed. With free shipping, I got them in two weeks. Great seller. Gave a Red pair to my friend as a Christmas gift, while I kept my Black pair.   Well, after hours and hours of tweaking with my EQ on the Asus Xonar DX...

Is 320kbps sound source considered Hi-Fi? I am just surprised that my HTC Sensation has better sound with PowerAmp than my dedicated sound card, especially when phone DACs are not the best.   Does HiFimeDIY dac have its software to adjust equalizer? I am hard of hearing at certain frequencies...

I didn't sign up to post the dimensions of these headphones. I have been lurking this thread since its start. I got my headphones almost 3 weeks ago, and I am still adjusting to them. I did a 100 hour combined burn-in. So far I really like them. They sound great on my phone after adjusting...

The cups are 7cm by 9cm. Folded, they are about 17cm by 12cm by 7cm. Laying them flat, unfolded, they are about 4.5cm thick(thickness of the ear cups). The cord is about 125cm in length.
