Introducing Shanling H2 - Budget Portable DAC/AMP with Built-in Player
Well crap. Iv plugged the meze empyrean into this and it sounds great. I mean the meze is doing the heavy lifting here but the h2 has no problem driving them even on low gain. Now it's no contest with my questyle cma800r monoblocks or the Burson funk on the desk but this is a hell of a portable...- gdwallasign

Yeah the oomph was the only discernible difference tbh. They seemed pretty close to each other otherwise. I'd have to do some serious listening to get more differences and at that pricepoint for what it is i'd just take the h2 for the better functionality.- gdwallasign

I thought the btr7 had an edge with a little more oomph on the s12.- gdwallasign

Introducing Shanling H2 - Budget Portable DAC/AMP with Built-in Player
Update this morning, on bluetooth I don't think i can tell the difference between the h2 and the up5 over bluetooth. it's possible there's a little more air or space to the music in the up5 but that's all i can tell. big win for the tuning on the h2 imo. add in the sd card and all is well at...- gdwallasign

Neutral would be my description of the sound signature. I think I slightly prefer the up5 sound signature but I LOVE the SD card with all of my music. The eddict app doesn't quite stay connected over longer listening periods so going through the library when I want to change albums takes an...- gdwallasign

How do I connect this to the eddict player? I'm on the init firmware, updated app. My up5 and up4s are in there fine. It allows me to control the settings when I connect usb but it doesn't find it in bt. Am I doing something wrong.- gdwallasign

MOONDROP's first planar earphone - STELLARIS is up now!
I kind of like 'em. I'm rolling final type e tips and really love the more natural harmony than s12 and there's an air and extension to cymbals. I don't care for the lack of bass off my up5 or even bass boosted on the ifi go Blu but it all sounds pretty good on my questyle cma800r monoblocks...- gdwallasign
