Simple. 009s louder than x9000. Expectedly. Sounding great. T8000 drives both.

I use sony. Portable very much worth the tradeoff

I like the space in between the sounds. The quietness reveals things not heard on the 009s.i have the srm d10 works better w 9k than 009s

Just got my 9000 an hour ago plus 10 months. Using my t8000 i had from my 009s. They are lighter wear and sound even lighter. Sn106x

ordered x9000 a few days ago. I have the 009s and the t8000 which has two output connectors waiting to use that 2nd connector. Also have the D10 with its one connector. i was always leaving the 009s connected but recently seen that I should disconnect it occasionally?

{not headphones related} that DVDA sounds awesome on my MAGNEPANS 3.6 with adcom 2kw amp and MIT cables. they have 5 ft long ribbons for 1k and up. and I have four maggies for real multichannel sound.

playing on a DVDA player 24bit 192k, stock cables on z1r and elsewhere. could be I apply todays treble to that older recoding, as dark.

yes my reference metal metalica black on dvd audio sounds too dark on z1r indeed. balanced source, and amp help a lot. newer rock such as the pretty reckless sound way to dark on z1r.
