Wow! Sennheiser HD 540 Reference are so good.

@GREQ   From what i know you need a very High Quality amp&dac or TH600 will not sound good. The Resolution of TH600 is supposed to be very high. You could try Telefunken Lower End model TH 30. It's not as revealing as TH600. I have had the TH30 tryed it out of my mp3 player sound was very...

Sennheiser HD 560 Ovation II Review

Telefunken   How do you mean hd540 is not comfortable in long term listening?

I think Rock & Electronic sounds very good with the HD540-II+Bitzie. HD 540-II sounds very engaging & natural. But the hd540 limitation lies in the bass department it lacks some bass weight & impact.

I never heard a burson amp before but i think it probably would sound very good with those headphone models. I use a HD 540-II paired with a Graham Slee Bitzie & its a great sounding combo.

I have not heard the hd700. But i am pretty much sure that they are not better than the hd540. From what i read about the hd700.

New hd540 I and II earpads are not available anymore. hd 560 earpads are still being made. But you need hd 540 plastic ring from what i know to fit hd 560 earpads. Foam pieces are still available.

Yamaha HPH-MT7, New Professional Studio Monitor Headphones

The reason why the MT7 will not have a lot bass weight and impact. Is because the small 40mm drivers just like the hd540 ref 2 i have. You need bigger drivers for more bass weight and impact.

Could be the hifiman earpads. Source and amp also could be it i recommend graham slee amp's like graham slee bitzie is a excellent companion with hd540. Also give the hd540 alot of burn in time. hd540 ref 1 600 ohm is little smoother than hd540 ref 2.

Maybe these have the same drivers as the Beyerdynamic dt-250. Also the design looks alot the same.

i think it's probably which source you use. out of my sandisk sansa clip + i found them pretty dark sounding. and the equalizer on the sansa is just worthless eq's the highs. but i have to install rockbox i just got them a week ago.   out of my dell inspiron 15r se it sounds brighter.   I...
