Big-Eared People Unite!!
I found this thread through @headdict (thanks)! Just read through and would formally like to join the big ear club! I still haven't found my own solution, but in doing so perhaps I can help others? I have a V-MODA ZN, before that a pair of V-MODA Forza Wireless and the largest tips that come...- Dodgexander

Best IEM tips?
Has anyone been in my situation? With V-Moda ZN even the largest fit tips seem to be too small for my ears...I find I have to insert then deep to get a good fit but the fit regresses after time. I measured them to be a mighty 1.5cm in width which is wider than most after market ones I've seen...- Dodgexander

V-MODA Zn: Official Discussion/Feedback, Reviews, Pics, Videos, etc.
To those of you using custom tips, does anyone know how to shop for compatible ones for the ZN? I have unusually big ear canals, so even the biggest ones that come with the ZN sink in too far and get loose with time. I like the triple flange design, but I'm open to trying any tip that is...- Dodgexander

Bluetooth IEM/Earbuds with good mic quality & comfort
@Dulalala thankyou for your reply. That is good to know. I had contacted RHA about their range of apple certified devices and they said it wouldn't work. I even asked them about the mic and they just said the only ones to work would be their wireless range. Do you have any suggestions, sound...- Dodgexander

Bluetooth IEM/Earbuds with good mic quality & comfort
Comfort is important because I want to wear these whilst laying down both when listening to music and in calls. If I can find ones that are comfortable when laying on my side on a pillow it would be ideal. Details: I prefer more pronounced treble and mids compared to bass...seems most models I...- Dodgexander

Help me upgrade my K550's
I'm trying to keep my options open here. I have around £150 to spend but can stretch further if the bang for buck goes up. I'll do my best to explain what I think is my preferred sound signature but I'm really not an expert, perhaps someone can help me with that. I like a wide soundstage...- Dodgexander

Non headphone amp impendance
A couple of simple questions maybe someone can help with? I can't really find info about elsewhere. I own a Xonar HDAV, unlike some models it doesn't have a headphone amp built in. When I connect my headphones to the front audio left/right outs with an RCA>3.5mm audio adaptor what...- Dodgexander

Budget DAC/Headphone AMP or SoundCard recommendation
Interesting! thanks for posting that. I wish I had the skills to easily make one of those. Any idea where I can purchase an off the shelf equivalent or a consumer grade amp suited for low impedance/high sensitivity cans?- Dodgexander

Budget DAC/Headphone AMP or SoundCard recommendation
Looks like a face a dilemma then. I use my headphones for PC use with a antlion mic attached so I have to keep the mic plugged in to a sound card. Ideally I would like to find a solution which would give me a good DAC+AMP but also have the option for a microphone. Even better if it was USB so I...- Dodgexander

Budget DAC/Headphone AMP or SoundCard recommendation
Thanks for your reply again! It depends, I've tried lots of different ways. I usually have them connected to my PC using the RCA outs of my sound card, a Asus Xonar HDAV. A while ago I thought buying a portable DAC/amp might help so I bought a fiio e7 to use connected to my PC and also for my...- Dodgexander

Just bought the Onkyo H500BT but in two minds what to do
So I ended up returning them along with the aptx dongle I bought. I just wasn't happy with the call quality. The microphone on them was awful. Does anyone know any Bluetooth headphones? Even iems that have a good mic and good sound? I tend to favour highs, then mids but I'm not so fussed about...- Dodgexander

Budget DAC/Headphone AMP or SoundCard recommendation
Sorry for the very late reply, I actually didn't get notified. I use a PC as the source. I have a collection of ripped music in flac format which I play back in foobar2000 in wasapi mode to avoid the windows mixer. I'm still wondering why everyone seems so impressed with the akg k550s I find...- Dodgexander

Just bought the Onkyo H500BT but in two minds what to do
I wonder if someone could help me make a decision, I am not sure what to do. I bought the Onkyo H500BT bluetooth headset and I couldn't be happier with the sound quality with music. I bought a Cinolink USB Bluetooth adaptor too since my laptop doesn't support Apt-x. The problem is...- Dodgexander

Budget DAC/Headphone AMP or SoundCard recommendation
I have a fiio e17 that adds some warmth to the sound and I've also tried them connected to two home AV receivers with headphone outs and I don't really notice a difference. Would there be substantial gain getting a better DAC/amp or even just a designated headphone amp? Sent from my Nexus 5...- Dodgexander
