I've been running the Cyan about 5 weeks (powered on the entire time). It does not run hot, but is slightly warm to the touch. I do think it may take a while to warm up, yes. This was a new unit so have not yet done a true test regarding sq and warming up.

I've found after about 150 hours letting the Audeze single-ended braided cable (silver-plated copper) settle in (the XC were used when I bought them but the cable was new), it's sounding more natural. It's a nice cable, I need the length in my office, and I'm hoping it settles down more. I...

I've the Audeze single-ended cable that I think comes with the LCD4, and I am finding a bit of metallic luster overall. Guess I'll need to order another cable.

Appreciate the feedback. I've got great sources and a couple nice amps. Solid state and tube. I am into closed back phones and the XCs seem like they will match my listening preferences.
