I have the UE 6000 since 2013. The black plastic on the top of the headband was first very smooth to touch, almost silky. Not it gor sticky.... like somebody put a glue on them... Can you tell me more about this strange behavior of this type of plastic? I don't think this is healthy to wear...

My NX1 was probably a year or so inside the shelf and now it seems that the battery has died :( Any suggestions for replacement or throwing it in the bin?

Which is better: Sennheiser Amperior or the 9500 (I know different worlds but still...)

Does is make sense to buy the Amperior beside my UE6000? I like the layed back, warm and full sound of the UE6000 much. I'm not sure if I would like the more aggressive Amperior sound... For 129€ the Amperior is a bargain IMHO.

I read several times that the 9500 has no real sub bass. I experienced the same here. The 558 has deeper bass. OK it's not comparable to let's say the Momentum On Ear which literally shakes your ears but sub bass is clearly reproduced by the 558. As I wrote please test with the Song Bass I Love...

My 9500 is brighter than my 558! The 9500 has maybe a bit punchier upper bss but in the low bass the 9500 is very very weak. The 558 has clearly more deeper bass and you can even feel it a little bit (it's by no means bassy but it reaches clearly deeper, Please test from Spotify "Bass I love...

I think the 558 with or without mod has the more refined smooth sound and it is more spatious. Just my opinion. There are a few guys there who like the 9500 more :) it's all matter of taste. For Rock music the 9500 will sound more aggressive and "faster", the 558 will provide deeper bass...

The price is just WOW... Is it worth selling the 558 for 50€ and buying the 598 now? I love my 558 unmodded!!! The mod is too bright for me! Consider this please :) And I like the bass punch of the 558. I shouldn't be less on the 598

Today the HD598 is about 95$ / 99€  Is it worth to ditch the 558 and nuy the 598?   What doesn't sound so good is that the bass on the 598 is not as punchy as the bass on the 558.   And the loose fit of the 598 compared to the 558 is maybe not OK for me with my small head. The 558 fits...
