So if I have a DAC/Amp with a volume knob on it, and that's a preamplifier for another amp which also has a volume knob, which volume knob should I use?  Should I max one out and just use the other, or leave one at a mid range?  If so, does it matter which one I use as a 'master control' ?

Hey guys,   What's the benefit of going for a full headphone amplifier over a DAC/Amplifier combo?   Right now I'm using the Beyerdynamic T1 (unmodded) cans paired with the Nuforce Icon DAC/Amp hybrid (which does have enough juice for the 600 ohm T1's).  I guess, with full size amplifiers...

Another question, what should the % be used for?  As someone who is not an experienced audiophile, can I assume that the highest % match is the best amp for the headphones?   For example, one of the highest matches for Beyerdynamic T1 was the Nuforce ICON-DAC (at 87%).  Is it accurate to...

One suggestion, when the user puts in both a headphone and an amp, in the following page, have those same two items remain selected in the drop down box so they don't need to be re-selected again every time.
