ZMF Verite Open
These are some great headphones. Once I got the headband adjusted, they fit great and do not feel like 400+ grams. Started out with the thicker pads that were installed, swapped to the universe pads and haven't looked back. I have the pheasant wood, which is gorgeous in person. The pictures...- davisman

ZMF Verite Open
Today is a good day, got my Verites delivered. Been super busy lately and haven't had time for my headphones, but I am making time this weekend. Pictures do not do these headphones justice. They are immaculate.- davisman

ETHER 2: Impressions and Discussion
I checked out that band on tidal briefly and from what I head the records are mastered a little lean in the lower frequencies. Even with my th900s there was no bass I could feel. Gotta run, Ill try to give it a listen tonight.- davisman

Massdrop x THX AAA™ 789 Linear Amplifier - Impressions Thread
Stay away from new Hifiman products is the lesson to learn. Horrible resale value, and a saturated product stack means you will never be able to sell it for anything close to what you paid for it. Buying used seems to be the way to go, so long as you are comfortable with the sometimes suspect...- davisman

That's why I would like to see some good measurements, it needs just a slight eq and then it is perfect. Took me a few weeks to realize that, but a boost in the lower treble seems to really help on some recordings.- davisman

ETHER 2: Impressions and Discussion
Ive had really good luck with the matsushita pcc88s, also the telefunken pcc88's are a bit more expensive but really nice and maybe better. Not sure yet, but they need to be burned in a bit, mine were a bit warm for my taste w/ E2 at first. Seem to be opening up pretty good. I was impressed...- davisman

That, imo, is the smart move. Figure out which you like best, not which costs more or is technically better.- davisman

It works well, I like the pairing. That said, E2 works really well with SS amps as well. You get a nice clean punchy sound.- davisman

E2 has exquisite bass. I still have my th900 and LCD 2v2. The lcd's currently have vegan pads, which lose some bass. It does not have the visceral slam of the th900, but it extends down really low and is never bloated. It is by far the best bass out of any headphone I have experienced. You can...- davisman

How does the Audeze LCD2 Classic measure up against TH-X00 or TH900?
I owned a lcd 2v2 before purchasing a th900 mk1. The lcd's collected dust for 4 years. ymmv.- davisman
