    Audeze LCD-X

Just sell them if you have economic issues or if you are no longer into this hobby. Maybe you can try Ether or Edition X later if the LCDs are too heavy for you. If you miss the sound, you can still buy one back in the future. Good luck with your sales! :D

    AUDEZE LCD XC

I think you have seized the character of the XC perfectly. The one thing you have problem with is how you like it. I also have an LCD-X for comparison so I can easily understand your... frustration. In my memory the X sound quite similar to the 3F I have demo'ed, only that the 3F is too "creamy"...

    AUDEZE LCD XC

Hi. I have owned a combo of schitt ragnarok and yggdrasil for a month till now and I tried pairing them with my lcd-xc a few times. Honestly, I don't find a substantial improvement over my $500 Mini-pro there... My Akg K712pro rocks with the new schitt stack though. The XC doesn't scale as...

    Audeze LCD-X

    2) Conductor is really a great match to my LCD-X/XC and many of my other headphones. It's an outstanding all-in-one amp. And the overall performance is not far from the Auralic Taurus II/Vega (ES9018) combo I tried in a local store. (not so close, though)   I also find the cheaper Mini-i Pro...

    New Schiit! Ragnarok and Yggdrasil

Just saying, yea I guess the resistors electronics inside the Ygg may benefit from an optimal working temperature (quite high, tbh), but I wouldn't call this process a Thermal Equilibrium...     edit: someone would explain this, discard my suspections~

    MrSpeakers Ether Impressions Thread

My LCD-X surely needs more volume to be enjoyable, and generally I'm not so fond of loud music.  My bookshelf speakers sound really nice even when the music is barely audible - in which case the LCDs would sound anemic.

    MrSpeakers Ether Impressions Thread

The main problem with the op I think was that he can't resist putting himself on an unhealthy volume when he listens to LCD-X.  Despite enjoying the music from my LCD-X, I agree with the op that the sound is quite distracting indeed. Really interested in how the Ethers perform at a lower...

Keep in mind, the Ether doesn't look as pretty as your LCD-3.

    AUDEZE LCD XC

Thank you RCBinTN.  I already have a Ragnarok on order (paid full, but still not shipped ), cheers~ And I've always been thinking about buying back the HD800 while I disliked its sound signature.  It's something so special that I've never heard. Maybe I'm just too sensitive to it's treble...

    AUDEZE LCD XC

Here is my "oversimplified" review comparing the post-fazor LCDs and "my HD800":   General: LCD-2F is a very good pair of cans, and for $1000 it's sonic performance is not far from its siblings. Still, LCD-X/3F undoubtedly perform better than LCD-2F in every respect, meanwhile they are...

    AUDEZE LCD XC

I like listening to X better than XC most of the time because X sounds more open and more exciting. XC is also a tad too "polite" sounding. But I agree with most points you stated here! The XC is surprisingly better at the sense of space and location - imo on par with the less of HD800. X has a...

    Audeze LCD-X

Paid a visit to a local audio lounge in Seattle yesterday. Brought my LCD-X here, had the whole afternoon to demo all the LCD headphones in production, listening through the majestic AURALIC VEGA x TAURUS MKII combo. The clerks were really nice and there were few visitors there when I was...

    Audeze LCD-X

I own both XC and X and I can agree with you on this. XC is slightly more "forward" to my ears but X seems to have a fuller sound.

    Audeze LCD-X

I mean the treble on my lcd-x has always been well extended, smooth and airy, but sometimes I want the treble to get "hotter". With or without a mildly pronounced 3~10KHz in EQ setting, the X remains very natural sounding, and this bugs me. They can't be both right imo, while I just can't tell...
