Not necessarily. Matez has affordable cables too. The cable I bought for my pair of Hifiman headphones in 2014 was actually pretty cheap, about 50 bucks iirc.:laughing:

Genelec makes excellent (active) speakers. I don't think you could find a new pair of 6010 speakers for €200 however. A quick websearch indicates that they are discontinued in our region too.

Never had the chance to hear the VDH, but the Chord Optichord is excellent imo. Very good soundquality for the money and beautiful buildquality too.
