Astell&Kern A&ultima SP3000T
Interesting first user experience, thanks! You've got quite the selection of headphones, electronics and IEMs! Which of the DAPs you have would you say punches the hardest and would be the best suited for heavy rock / metal? Also, which one of the DAPs you've tested would you say can run full...- corentin

Astell&Kern A&ultima SP3000T
I'm thinking about the 3000T as a center piece for a mobile setup with either trifectas, ravens or novus (but the price ><) using the solid state amps, and a super compact desktop solution at home with a pair of calderas or atriums with tubes engaged; does that make sense? With the calderas or...- corentin

Hugo TT 2 by Chord Electronics - The Official Thread
Almost ready to pull the trigger on the tt2 for an abyss Diana MR; do you guys think I should hook it to the xlr outputs or is the SE front output already driving them to their fullest potential? More generally what do you guys think of the association of the tt2 with Diana mr for metal...- corentin

Super valuable information there Sajid, thank you very much  Now I'm on the fence between the trifecta, the Xe6 and the Ravens; so far I'm leaning towards the Ravens :) As for Headphones, would you say there is / are models you've heard so far that would give you the same impression on...- corentin

Thanks for sharing Sajid; looks great! I also watched most of your videos on YouTube about your favourite iems; would mind telling me which one of all the ones you've had the pleasure to listen to would be your go-to pair for metal exclusively? Trifecta, Jewel...? Thanks again and keep up the...- corentin

Thank you for your take, I'm definitely going the Raven route - unless the Novus turns out like an even better Raven, which given the fact it doesn't feature the same drivers seems unlikely. Do you think the SE300 would compliment it well or is too 'soft' for metal and I should rather take a...- corentin

Interesting discussions around "fun" sounding TOTL iems; between Fei Wan, Trifecta, Xe6 and Ravens for metal music only, what would you guys choose with either an Se300 or a hugo2?- corentin

Astell&Kern Launches New R-2R DAP and IEMs at High End Munich 2023
Anyone got the opportunity to compare the hugo2 + smartphone versus the SE300? I can't seem to make up my mind between the two options... I listen exclusively to metal music if that's any help ;)- corentin

IEM for metal music and hard rock - ultimate solution
Guys, in your opinion : best cost-no-objects IEM for metal (power and symphonic : Nightwish, Kamelot, Evergrey, Orden Ogan, Rhapsody of Fire, etc.); Raven, Crimson, Perpetua, Fei Wan, Storm, Aura, Xenon 6, Annihilators 23, trifecta...? What do you think? So far, I'm leaning towards the Ravens...- corentin

Final Audio D8000 Planar Magnetic Headphone
Hello guys, I'm considering the D8000 Pro Limited for metal (power and symphonic such as Nightwish, Rahpsody of Fire, Kamelot, Epica, Evergrey, etc.) exclusively. It would be powered by a Hugo2 as an amp+DAC combo. What do you guys think of the D8kpro Ltd in this context? Would a Utopia 2022 /...- corentin

Astell&Kern NOVUS IEM collab with Empire Ears
Any ideas on what the tuning / overall performance versus the Raven is going to be like? I listen to metal exclusively and the Raven seemed the way to go but if the Novus is more durable (at least it seems this way given the material used) with a similar sound as the Ravens, I could definitely...- corentin
