Yeah, really missing the days when I hate to commute!

Hi guys, I'm considering to purchase a QBD76 to match my Red Reference so it will become a Red Reference MKIII. But I've never listened to the QBD76, though I have Hugo1/2/TT. Has anybody ever compared the QBD to the Dave or any other Chord DACs?

This 2go sounds pretty promising. I'll definitely consider own one if I can go back to the office!!

After years, I still vote for HD800. The soundstage is just amazing and it's of course tube-friendly and classical/jazz-friendly. But if you listen to vocals, it may not be the best choice

Still the best portable DAC in the world. I've compared it with my newly acquired Hugo TT for a while and I think they perform pretty close. Actually Hugo1 is also a great model, especially given its low price now

I used to own a gold WA8 for about 6 months. But I didn't use it often. I don't have much luck with it paring my HD600/800. Somehow I feel it's a little granular comparing to Chord Hugo/Hugo2

I'm kind more interested in the MXA150, anyone used it?

AAA 789 works well with my HD600/HD800. Actually, I found HD600 is not very power demanding, even my PCM D100 recorder can drive it fine.(but not excellently)

I have very good luck with Mogami cables, the speaker cable easily outperforms my old Transparent Musicwave Plus, which is 20 times more expensive

Years later, here are some updates. In my office, I used a Cambridge CXC instead, it works fine. I think it definitely worth $500. At home, I purchased a Simaudio CD5.3, it's much better than the Cambridge, when compared to the same DAC. I didn't expect that cause it's a CDP whilte CXC is a...

Thanks for the information, it's very useful! I'm switching to Analogue steadily and will definitely consider the project. Question: why do you need a preamp besides the phono, is it required? Or can i just hook the phono box to my amplifier?
