Hi I purchased 4 of these Pure i-20 units for use with powered speakers (Audio Engine A2's and A5's).  These were for Christmas presents, and I kept one myself for use with my A5's.  I have been very happy with these...especially at the price! I have to agree that the unit sounds a bit edgy...
