Grado modders go Magnum
Quote: All the hype about magnums was about the first few versions. Those sounded like they're up there with LCD-2s, according to reviews. The response regarding the newer versions are pretty much mixed but apparently they're not very close to the first few versions. If it's about...- Blue Boat

Grado modders go Magnum
Is the difference between different Magnum versions a result of Rhydon's terrible quality control, or was it intentional?- Blue Boat

Shure SRH 940 impression and support thread
Joo bypass3d my theory. @Kiteki No. He wasn't talking about sine waves in amps/dacs. He was talking about sine waves being used in all sorts of audio tests. Sine waves are the building blocks of music. Anyhow, even if you feed music through the headphone and plot out a graph with the...- Blue Boat

Quote: Measurements are taken from the entrance of the ear canal. You can tell dips and peaks from a simple sine sweep. You don't depend solely on FR graphs because all they show is how "loud" a certain frequency is produced. The "loudness" of the frequency is dependent on how the other...- Blue Boat

@post 2743 Sine waves are not some abstract signal created in a lab. They’re the primary building block of all sounds we hear. Analogies would be a single color of light or a pure chemical element from the periodic table. All the colors we perceive are combinations of individual...- Blue Boat

Aviators, is it worth it?
There was a thread regarding Aviator's sound problems at a display booth. They had to swap the Aviators out everyday because it would go dead on one side of something. Google it. What kind of sound/songs do you like? Lots of choices at the $150 price range.- Blue Boat

Quote: Anime lovers 1. Think they're ninjas. 2. Think they can speak Japanese and be all sophisticated. 3. Fap over cartoon characters. If you don't do these 3, you don't love anime. If you do all 3, you're an otaku. My decision is final.- Blue Boat
