Yeah, Bonneville is CFA's Fir Kr5. Tuned very very similarly. Kr5 is more technical but also twice the cost. Bonneville has a touch more treble which is insane (I heard it as a bit too much, but ymmv). Both rule for black and extreme metal type genre's. Anni was also good, Bonneville was better...- blotmouse

My despair regarding EST treble continues. Diva and Gaia had better, more musical treble. In my opinion, obviously. Huge reason an IEM is worth its price tag. This, overall dynamic gestalt, and coherency between drivers (which could also explain certain sets sounding as one whole and others...- blotmouse

Indeed. I love Turii Ti and RS8 combo so much 🥲 As a bass player whose soul has been physically and intimately attached to drum kits those Turii's do everything right and are par excellence for percussion. One of the reasons I exist in a pseudo end game state at all times. Acoustic drum kit...- blotmouse

Love your attention, time, and affability. Always professional. You go out of your way to help add a personal touch to the products and that resonates when we think about what brand we want to sink thousands into. I don't know who this personality is in this thread but this guy is acting like...- blotmouse

Cayin N8ii: The Incredible DAP with ROHM DAC and fully BAL Nutube
They are different beasts. Rs8 is more relaxed and has even more tweaking abilities. A more tame treble. N8ii has faster transient control like other chip based dacs but better realism with note decay than akm and ess (generally) I like rs8’s class a implementation better and use it more. But...- blotmouse

Awesome find, thanks. I agree, it's very special. You do need to swap out the included cable. Nice the author called the Martini cable pairing out specifically. I listen to mostly various rock/metal styles and modern indy electro with it. Glad there is a fan cult out there. They didn't make very...- blotmouse

Yes, from my perspective a great deal. Still one of my favorite sets ever. I'd pay well beyond list if I was forced to and frantically had to replace them. If you search my posts in the Softears and Cooler threads going back a few years I can't shut up about it. Mids are the star...- blotmouse
