Monoprice Monolith M1060 and M560 Planar Headphones
I like the M1060 with stock cable more than my Sennheiser 6xx with balanced cable. It sounds more open and probably more even across the frequency spectrum. Bass is also better despite being less prominent.- Architeuthis

Monoprice Monolith M1060 and M560 Planar Headphones
What improvements will different grills provide for an M1060 without ringing issues? There are definitely variations in drivers. My original M1060 was brighter and had the ringing issue. Replacement pair is darker and no ringing.- Architeuthis

Monoprice Monolith M1060 and M560 Planar Headphones
My first pair of the M1060 had ringing and somewhat peaky treble. The right driver went out and I received a pair that has absolutely no ringing and sounds neutral to a bit dark. Do those without ringing benefit from any mods?- Architeuthis

Super quick..They shipped new headphones the same day or day after my return reached them, and I received them in three days, tops, on the East Coast.- Architeuthis

2.5mm to 4-pin xlr can be had inexpensively? Everything I've seen has been $70+.- Architeuthis

I'm on the fence about spending money on a balanced cable. My headphone amp has a true balanced circuitry. I've seen recommendations to use its balanced output for best sound. Will I hear a significant difference from the stock cable?- Architeuthis

NuPrime DAC-10H - Desktop DAC and Headphone Amp
I think it's been out a while, if the same one I downloaded from Nuprime's web site. I use it on a Windows 8.1 desktop. It's the only driver I've used so can't compare to previous versions, but has been very solid. No stability issues at all that I've noticed.- Architeuthis

The diy O2 I bought several years ago no longer charges. What batteries does it need, and are they easy to install?- Architeuthis

Play 'Come Again' by Damn Yankees at a fairly high volume and see if your pair doesn't sound harsh/have ringing during some of the louder and complex passages.- Architeuthis

NuPrime DAC-10H - Desktop DAC and Headphone Amp
I feel like the 'lowly' Sennheiser HD-555 has woken up a fair amount with the DAC-10H. Never liked them at all with an O2 amp and ODAC but have had them on my head several hours the last few days. Now I'm wondering what the HD-600 and 650 might sound like out of the Nuprime.- Architeuthis
