Is the balanced output terminated the same way as the Hifiman HM901 and 801? 3.5mm TRRS Tip: L+ Ring: R+ Ring: L- Sleeve: R-

I've checked around the web and it turns out that Ray Samuel's, Cypher Labs and ALO all use the same configuration. It must be my pinout diagram. I've fixed it, and I'll try it out again later. A little busy ATM.

Okay. Followed your advise and made a single ended-RSA converter and figured out an issue. It was due to me misreading the post. It was the view from inside the amp out, not from the jack. I've fixed it, though I cannot try this out until tomorrow (relative to me). Thanks for the advise.  ...

Exactly. What I'm thinking the issue is is that the pinout diagram I used was wrong, resulting in my L+ using my R- and vice versa. Not entirely sure though, and it's pretty hard to find a proper pinout diagram for the IRIS/RSA connector specifically done for audio.

First, I don't have numbers on my connector, sadly.  Second, by multimeter, I meant the continuity tester that is in-built. Third, I do happen to have an RSA connector. By single-ended, you mean TRS, correct?

I just noticed that there are two pinout diagrams. One on the top (the big one) and the other on the bottom (the one for the auto-IRIS of the camera). Which one? I did the one on top the first time and that's the one with the distortion. I don't own a balanced amp, so I cannot try this right...
