Is it just me, or do ATH-M50's creak when you move?
I get a plastiky creaking noise from mainly the right hand earpiece whenever I move my head or jaw. Bit of shame when I habitually grind my teeth. Makes a CD recording sounds like a dodgy vinyl pressing. If anyone else has this, is it somthing that I can fix, or just live with it (by which I...- andyalfa

Guidance on mid-range IEM's
Just a quick post to request guidance. For home listening via my Sonos music streamer, I currently use a pair of Audio-Technica ATH-M50’s which seem to be praised/maligned in equal measure on Head-fi. I have to say I quite like the rather bass heavy presentation (I’m a bass player, so I may be...- andyalfa

What Are You Listening To Right Now?
I only have a limited listening time over lunch, so all I managed was Doves - Kingdom of Rust and part of Robin Trower's Out of Time album. -

Sansa Fuze and Rockbox
I have a V2 Fuze and a FiiO LOD cable into an iBasso T4 amp, which sounds pretty damn good. I was considering a Rockbox upgrade (v2 appears on the "stable" list) but reading through the manual, the menu/directory system seems awful complicated and there are just so many different settings and...- andyalfa

The 80's music nostalgia thread
Talking of the "darker" side, try looking out for Spear of Destiny/Theatre of Hate, Sisters of Mercy/The Mission, Killing Joke, Bauhaus/Pete Murphy, PIL/Jah Wobble etc. Quite liked the Cocteau Twins too, back in the day. These days, my 80's listening revolves around Simple Minds, The... -

Greatest Bass Playing...(acoustic/electric)
+1 for John Entwistle. Incidentally, he may have been regarded as the most accomplished musician in the band, but when asked to describe John's playing, Roger Daltry replied LOUD". I did a quick search, and found no mention of Norman Watt-Roy of The Blockheads. Seen close up, his playing... -
Best Drummer's All Time, Past, Present: Let the Beat's Begin!
As a bass player, I'm not properly qualified to judge, but a drummer friend of mine always loved Bonzo, and he's one of my faves too. However, since he got a gig in a Who tribute band, he's come to appreciate just how good Moony was, behind all the theatrics. The drummer in my band was inspired... -

*Your* History of Sound (music)
1st record, Telegram Sam – T.Rex at the age of 11. Spent the next 2 or 3 years buying stuff by David Bowie, America, Mott the Hoople, Slade & Status Quo. Turned heavier, getting into Rory Gallagher, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple & Led Zeppelin by the time I was 15. First gig, October 1975... -
iBasso T4
Any ideas where I might be able to get one in the UK? The only place I've found that lists it is www.hifiheadphones.co.uk and they show it as "out of stock". If not, could anyone recommend a similarly priced alternative?- andyalfa

FM Transmitter
I’ve been searching through the forums about this, but haven’t found anything yet. Can anyone help or make a suggestion as to where I can look? I’m looking for an FM transmitter for use in my car, so I can plug in my music player and enjoy music on the move. I’ve had a couple in the past. A...- andyalfa
