Advice on Setup - HD650 + Speakers + Nuforce
What about this system as a whole, looks quite promising. And I think the speakers are passive, powered by the sub so shouldn't I be able to swap the Focal speakers in at a later point? http://www.audiopro.com/node/109- andre56

Advice on Setup - HD650 + Speakers + Nuforce
I have seen the Focal 2.1 kit, would be the preferred choice but unfortunately it's just too expensive for me, it's almost double the price I can get the Focal satellites & X200 sub for. I think you may be right, the sub has it's own amp but will not power the speakers, if you look at the...- andre56

Advice on Setup - HD650 + Speakers + Nuforce
Sorry completely forgot about this thread. Thanks ProtegeManiac for the help, it's much appreciated. The deal on the HD fell through so I've decided to go for the HDP, as they're more readily available and it's possible to get one for $300 which isn't too much more than the HD. Basically...- andre56

Advice on Setup - HD650 + Speakers + Nuforce
Thanks for the advice. I've decided to go for the Icon HD as I found one for $225 and if I'm not mistaken the only difference is the fewer options of inputs which I don't need anyway. Speakers wise, I've decided I'm going to want a sub anyway so I'm going to get a Cambridge Audio active...- andre56

Advice on Setup - HD650 + Speakers + Nuforce
Hi all, Just looking for some advice. I currently have a pair of Sennheiser HD650's powered by FiiO E9/E7 combo. I am very happy with the sound from the FiiO considering how affordable it was but I want to upgrade to something a bit better now. I have done some research and I have decided...- andre56

Little Dot MK V vs Fiio E7/E9 vs Fubar IV
Hi all, I have just recently bought a pair of Sennheiser HD650's and am currently looking for an amp to power it. I have no experience, I am new to the full-size scene, have always had IEM's. My budget doesn't allow much but I've looked around and I've managed to find the 3 mention amps for a...- andre56

Firestone Audio Fubar IV vs Fiio E7/E9
Hi all, I've recently purchased some Sennheiser HD650 headphones and am currently looking for a DAC and Amp. I'm on a bit of a small budget after buying the HD650's, not really looking to spend more than £150 for both. I've been looking at the E7/E9 combo and it seems like a very good choice and...- andre56

Need some help with amplification
Ok thanks, think I get it. So basically I need either a DAC or a DAC/AMP combo. Next thing then is I am probably going to sell the Head box for whatever I can get. Would you recommend a E7/E9 combo or a Little Dot MK V?- andre56

Need some help with amplification
Thanks. Any advice on the other topics? Quite concerned about the fact I only have a laptop and iPod, do I not need a dedicated amplifier of expensive system?- andre56

Need some help with amplification
Yeh I realised they're not preferable but I'm on a bit of a budget. Cant really afford to spend £300 or £400 on just an amp.- andre56
