Where to get Takstar hi2050 in the US
Yea they are nice headphones, just get someone to cable mod them. I'd so it as well but I just deal with it. I'd love to get a removable cable mod myself. That would be the best.- alphaproject

Weird, I always assumed the hi2050 and pro80 had the same earcup design. Are you saying they are indeed round like the Dt 770 or all together different from the DT770 And Pro 80's...???- alphaproject

I had the DT 770 but they are round vs oval. I'm assuming the hi2050 fits the same as the takstars/Gemini's right? If so just get the HM5 pads. They are the best pads to use with the Gemini's in my mind. Hm5 pads fit much better than the DT770 pads.- alphaproject

Well they don't require a lot of power and a laptop sounded great. My Toneport UX2 sounds better though. I think for the price you can afford to try....loving them more every day. Sold my DT770's and CAD audio cans as well.- alphaproject

Yea....whole new level of comfort. They also add more isolation I believe. Great idea to use such versatile cups except they are bigger. The cups tend to veer outwards a bit as if they aren't REALLY meant to fit but they do once you get them in place nicely. I read they also fit the HD...- alphaproject

Yea, the HM5 pads are huge. Should add additional isolation indeed. I've heard the HD 380 block out a lot of sound but they are not nearly as good in the sound dept. as the Pro 80's....not even close. I think they block out a lot.- alphaproject

Well...I don't have any sort of noise in mine. I am not able to EQ anything because my source is the UX2 toneport. Well...I'd need to EQ the song player itself. But the cans don't seem to need any sort of EQing from what I can hear unless you want to tame some of the highs. Which I'm fine with...- alphaproject
