Does anyone know if these have different drivers in some of them?  I got a replacement from Amazon due to the headband making crack noises, and the replacement doesn't sound as good. The bass is a bit punchier and overall the sound is brighter. I A/B'd several times and the original pair...

  Why's that?  I now have both the Maverick D1 and Apogee. To me, the Apogee seems maybe a bit more clear, but lacking bass compared to the D1. Not sure what to stick with.

Looking for a nice DAC/AMP combo but also eyeing the Apogee ONE as I record a lot too. How does this compare to other DAC/AMP combos for the price range? I heard it's quite good.  Maverick D1? 

I just bought an Apogee One for recording purposes and wondering how it fairs to my Maverick D1. I've only had a chance for a quick comparison and it seems the One is clearer but this could be due to the lack of bass (or rather muddy bass from the D1).  Does anyone know which one is supposed...

I have the DT990PRO here, 250ohm. It's an excellent headphone. It took me a while to find what I was looking for in a headphone, but after I bought this + the Maverick Audio D1, I haven't looked back. Lurk around, but have never thought about a new headphone in a very long time

Don't find them shrill at all really. Using quarter modded comfies. If I ever have to take them off, it's because they've been on for 2+ hours and the pads hurt my ears. Not the sound being too bright.

Here's a bit more accurate comparison, the difference in size is a bit more bigger. The MS1i looks far better in my opinion, the MS1 (non-i) just stays flat. Quicky in paint:
