    I've received a few interested messages with the same concern that the stepped attenuator is hard to dial in. Speaking from my own experience, I have never once thought "I can't find the right volume on this amp." I prefer the more linear sound of the DACT vs the ALPS adding a little too much...

    I used EQMac for awhile it was okay, then I found SoundSource and that was a much better solution for me: https://rogueamoeba.com/soundsource/ I'm not sure what the free version limitations are but I did pay for it.

    I think the GSX-Mini is a really solid offering, provided you buy one used. At $2,000 there are so many other options within reach that I think are far better value, but if you can pick one up for $1200 or less, especially with the upgraded volume pot, you'll be really happy with your purchase...

    This was my first higher end DAC purchase and I'm still so happy with it even 3 years later. I would like to go up in the near future to something like a Yggdrasil OG, but for now I'm really happy with the BF2, even on more expensive amps like my Mogwai.

    I sold my ROG Ally when the Steam Deck OLED was announced and haven't looked back. I'm set on SteamOS as my primary handheld/portable platform. Windows needs a "mobile gaming" version to compete, otherwise the overhead and power draw will never compare to something ultra optimized like SteamOS.
