Yes I saw that thread. I believe it was mentioned the new V202 and V222 is tuned differently more as neutral/analytical.
I'm looking for something warm/a little emphasis midrange to compliment the bright Fostex 900/909.

I had the v200 and v100 as well as the v220 and also the fostex th900 and let me say the pairing (all low gain) was fantastic! All switches on the back to -12 I believe and I had plenty of volume on the pot, from about 9-1 was perfect! Good luck on the search and if I see one I will pin it!

I've been reading for weeks looking for a solid state amp to drive the Fostex. They're low impedance headphone around 25 ohm so I needed an amp with less than 3 ohm output impedance. The R28/WA22 sound great for the Utopia and the Elite but not the 900/909. The impedance mismatch would cause distortion at high volume and the bass becomes boomy and overbearing (and I'm a bass-head lol). Thank you.
