Good morning everyone. as the title suggests, I intend to sell my most important jewel in my headphone collection. Sony MDR R10 bass light, Nr. 133. The motivation is simple, my headphone listening is on the move and the MDR R10 cannot and must not go outside the house. The conditions of the headphones are excellent, I would dare to say near to NOS condition. The headset has been successfully exchanged in balanced 1.2m XLR form. moreover, unlike the classic MDR R10, the one in my possession is modified, let me explain.
The drivers are obviously the authentic ones, driver nr.3;the mod is reversible and consists in having superimposed on the original magnet a second magnet that did more thrust, with the consequence of having an MDR R10 with greater dynamics and above all a 30% higher detail yield. moreover, a special layer of dynamat has been introduced inside the zelkova pavilion to absorb unwanted queues. if you wanted to bring it in original condition there are no problems, obviously it sounds better modified(IMHO) and confronted with one MDR R10 stock.
Another uniqueness that no other MDR R10 has, is that in addition to the Japanese serial it also has an Italian serial (nr. 20) complete with an official italian Sony letter, created with the old typewriter in 1989.
The condition of the headset is almost perfect; Not in NOS condition but we are on 9.5/10. The original zelkova casket is in perfect condition, all manuals are in NOS condition and the headhone has been overhauled by the Italian company SPIRIT TORINO, in order to ascertain the authenticity of the drivers despite the past 33 years. There is therefore a second letter that verifies everything. Test passed successfully. Since I have no intention of selling it in a hurry, I am NOT willing to go down in price. We are talking about a piece of history, moreover in enviable conditions. the price includes only the headset, no shipping, no paypal commissions, no possible taxes, since the headset is located in Italy. It could be the chance of your life. I prefer hand swapping because the KING must be listened to in my opinion. So if you are interested take a plane ticket that I am waiting for you.
