Selling my Penon Fan. If you're curious about the famous Penon sound, these are a great affordable intro, and great-looking too.
But you know how it is, too many IEMs. As you can see by my postings and avatar, I'm mostly listening to my full-sized ATH-R70X these days.
The Fan is currently $140 at Penon. Here, you can get them for $70 shipped (Paypal is on me) to CONUS -- and I have improved them over Penon's original package.
The original Penon cable was -- to get extremely technical -- junk. I replaced it with a TRN T2 soft, non-microphonic, 16-core cable.
All the original Penon tips and the little replacement filters are included. Penon's blue and green silicones may work for you, but I have also added a pair of (unused) Tennmak memory-foam tips that sound better -- for me anyway -- than the standard Penon tips: clearer treble. I'll also include silicone tips that are stiffer than the Penon tips in case those work for you. Tips make a big difference with these.
The elegant tapestry case and leatherette pouch have been boxed away since I got the Fan, and they are in perfect condition as you can see. The presentation and packaging on these are way above their price bracket.
