Up for sale is the Schiit Bifrost 2 DAC in black. Please note this was bought as a B-stock item directly from Schiit in September 2020. As these were incredible hot items at the time, it was only a less-than-5% discount ($669) vs. the usual 10-15% discount. It was in perfect condition and I’m reasonably certain it was a 15-day trial return.

However, in the interest of full-disclosure, I went out of town in mid-October 2020 for 6 days. I turned the Bifrost 2 off and left. Upon returning and powering it back up, I was greeted with a loud buzzing/vibrating sound. The DAC would not fully power up and would not output any audio.

It was sent back to Schiit for investigation and, while they never said what the problem was, they did fix it. According to the repair paperwork sent back (I will include this in the box), the analog board and motherboard were both replaced. So, for all intents and purposes, this is effectively a brand new Bifrost 2.

Since receiving it back from repair in November 2020, it has barely been used; under 100 hours for sure. I wanted so badly to get on the hype train and see if the Yggy would work for me since this is its little brother, but I just do not like OS DACs, and Schiit DACs in particular, at all.

Original box, remote, power cord, and manual are included.
