Grado SR60, grill removed hastily. Nakamichi SP-7 as parts. $60shipped Paypal
Nakamichi drivers were liberated for Grado enclosure transplant. More info and relationship to HP1000 here. This link also shows pics of the exact SR60.:

Drivers cant be reinstalled into original enclosure without some jerry rigging because driver sleeve had to be slightly modified to fit Grado cups and so now are missing the prongs that connected drivers to Nakamichi enclosure. I imagine these prongs could be substituted and rebuilt with a little inventiveness… (i would try drilling some screws into sleeve then cut off the heads)
Installing the SP-7 drivers into SR60 requires no soldering, just friction fit drivers + cups. See link above for my thoughts on the sound.
The 2 “prongs” that were removed can be seen in the photo below:
SR60 currently:
^ you can see bits of glue and plastic left behind from grill that I didnt bother to remove. I imagine to clean up just need to pull the rest off with some pliars.
