Why? Is it silver (it looks like silver)?
I have 3 XLR cables, 2 copper 1 silver, and this silver one is the most sensitive to RFI if you remember my HP8 thread last week.

Thankfully it’s gotten much better now as I lace my entire setup with ferrite beads… I think it took an entire 28-pack of ferrite beads to keep the RFI at a barely audible level. I’ll update thr HP8 thread sometimes this week so hopefully people can benefit my headache haha

Qudelix 5K>Yin yoo cable >64 Audio Trio
This set up has travelled 100k miles around the country over the last couple years. Never lets me down. Of course I only use Yin yoo cables with my Trio, only the best cables for the best IEMs I have heard.

I'm impressed you've kept the stock tubes in this long LOL.

Well, they won't be in there for much longer, as I just bought some NOS power (6P3S 51') and input (1579 Reflektor 60') tubes last night, and currently I am shopping rectifiers.

I will say this though, I have gone an entire week without even wanting to change them. That is really saying something for how good this amp is, as I usually pull stock new production tubes immediately.
Well done my brother! :beerchug: This amp is going to be legendary.

Is there any background noise with dynamic driver headphones on this amplifier?

Absolutely none whatsoever. This amp is dead silent with my VC's (and the rest of my headphones), of which pick up noise if it's there. The pitch black background is one of my favorite things about this amp.

I honestly can't even tell the amp is on, unless I look over at it and see the tubes and meters lit up. It is that quiet.

Decided to get my OTL out of storage. Haven't had it in rotation since I got the Atrium Closed, this kicks ass!

Wow! Now having the Aegis at the house and hearing what you are capable of, I can only imagine how insanely magical your personal amps (and DAC's) must sound. They certainly always look the part, and to me are the best looking amps out there. The DAC is looking mighty fine tucked beneath it too by the way, and I love that color scheme. The color of the DAC goes well with black amp and orange tube glow, and it really all ties together so well. Those heatsinks look seriously bad ass too!

I agree, and it looks even better in person too! I think it's one of the most gorgeous tube amps ever made, and has such a unique retro kind of vibe, and goes really well with my furniture to top it all off.
