So I pulled the
on my listing and decided to keep the Miyabi instead. The 24hr burn-in showed it’s potential and it was rather very good. Here’s I discovered too… the stock ear tips can slide down the nozzle, the Miyabi has long nozzles, and will ruin the sound and experience. Swapped it with Normal SednaEarfit which has a longer shaft. The Light version in (S) pairs best here as the Miyabi sounded best when it’s shoved down and deep in the canals, seal and isolation is improved too. Fit is perfect and flushed in the ear, a bullet type that you can comfortably sleep with. It is an iem that caters to the vocal regions with emphasis on the mid-bass than upper-mids. Bass region is there to complement the vocals, gives it body. It’s a well rounded bass in general without bloat. I am not a bass head but here it sufficed. Vocals really is the star of the show here, it is pleasantly forward without being in your face… I like it. What it lacks thou is energy and attack in the treble regions, be warned tho as I like my mids forward, mid-bass to slam and treble regions with energy. The treble on the Miyabi can shimmer but doesn’t sizzle, it’s almost gives me a feeling that it’s somehow diffused and can be a splashy type of treble. This is weird in a very good way as it again complements the presentation of vocals in a very good way, it makes the vocals breathe. Now there is a single ceramic super tweeter in the Miyabi and you can clearly hear it sizzle with minute sparkles, it tickles so to speak lol. So to sum it up, analogously, Intime Miyabi is a beatiful painting using watercolor as medium. It’s sound is very approachable for a being mid forward, it’s well polished. It is vocals oriented that is lush. The bass and treble areas are supporting characters to let the star shine, the vocals. The splashy nature of the treble is the only thing that might be an issue here as it can fall apart with some genres and or recordings. In the end, it is a general keeper and I am keeping it.
