Aegis has landed!!!! It is more beautiful in real life than on pictures... I am enjoying a real treat.... Aegis and Decware ZMF OTL as a PRE with Caldera on Aegis and Auteur on Decware OTL... I am pretty sure this is what "heaven" must sound like! :beyersmile:

I tend to like ZMFs on tubes over SS... so I'd guess the Aegis would be a great companion to a Caldera!!!

Hey goldwerger, How do you like the Caldera on the Decware Taboo MK IV? I use my Caldera with the Silver Fox (Cen.Grand) but I am going back to the Decware ZMF OTL + Auteur/HD 800 S more often than to the SS. I wish I could use the Caldera on a tube amp as well.... so, is the Taboo IV a good...

ZMF/Decware Ref. OTL is really amazing with high impedance headphones. I have an Senn HD800 S on order... I am looking forward to trying it on the ZMF/Decware! - just to get a different sound signature from my beloved ZMFs!

I use the Caldera off my solid state and the AuC off the Tube amp. When I want a bit more details and maybe a bit extra clarity, like when playing classical music I go for the Caldera, when I am happy with Jazz, Soft Rock, Vocals and similar.... I usually get the AuC. Caldera is more detailed...
