LCD-X and XC Update
Just acquired a pair of these. There is a surprising amount of detail packed in their sound. Question I have is what are you guys using to power these? I've kinda been in and out of the hobby over the years and my "favorite" amp is a tube amp and Im not sure the output impedance is a great...- Rawrbington

Anybody messed with some EQ for the old LCD2 rev 2 pre fazor? I believe they are the ones that the LCD2 classic was possibly modeled after?- Rawrbington

Focal Elear - Impressions Thread
Was looking at these but I have question. They look like TRS plugs. Dont the elears need the mono plugs instead? I wonder if these will still work? I hope so. Please let us know how they work out. Cheers- Rawrbington

Fostex x Massdrop TH-X00 Review
I tried the dekoni's and the brainwavz. With and without the ring. Loved the comfort. But in the end the stock pads just sounded right. So I went back to stock.- Rawrbington

Thanks for the links everyone. I have the same issue with the Massdrop Fostex X00's. Great headphones with a ridiculous, unnecessarily heavy, unwieldy cable. WHY!?!?- Rawrbington

I'd be interested in just a decent replacement cable. Nothing fancy or expensive. Just something so I don't have to deal with the ridiculously heavy and long stock cable. I do really love how dynamic and punchy they are. Pretty fun to listen to.- Rawrbington

Fostex x Massdrop TH-X00 Review
I agree. I need to try this with some different materials. The rings with the dekoni sheepskins turned them into a boomy bassy mess- Rawrbington

Fostex x Massdrop TH-X00 Review
Nice review of the different pads. I LOVE the comfort of the sheepskins. Unfortunately I like the sound with stock pads better. With or without the rings. With rings is too bassy, without is a hair too hot and just kind of unbalanced. I may have to lookout for the fenestrated pads next time...- Rawrbington

Massdrop Fostex TH-X00 Ebony impressions thread
The more my ears adjust to these the more i'm liking them. I hadn't really listened to any headphones besides my LCD2's for the last 3 years so initially i was wondering where the midrange went and that they seemed a little sibilant. But after a couple days I'm starting to really appreciate...- Rawrbington

Its taking my ears some time to adjust to them. Been using lcd2's for the past 3 years. Less mids more trebble. These do however show up my dt770 pros by a good bit- Rawrbington

Thats awesome. Yours are a little lighter than mine. Got mine yesterday. They sound pretty damn good. My only complaint is the cable. Its just bad. Id rather have cheap flexible rubber covered cable than this unweildy thing. Also agree on the packaging. But they make great sound...- Rawrbington

Thanks for all the links! Will def find the right one for my needs with the choices given. I now see what all the talk about recabling and adding removable cables is all about. The cable on these headphones is the biggest (and only) con i have.- Rawrbington

Fostex x Massdrop TH-X00 Review
Any of you have a 1/4 inch to 3.5 adapter? The one they sent from monoprice doesn't work. I know that doesn't seem possible but it doesn't stay in my phones hp jack like every other 3.5 mm plug does. Bonus points if it has a bit of wire length to it.- Rawrbington
