    Cayin HA-3A, a Compact 6V6s Transformer-coupled Tube Amplifier

Thanks for the reply, always good to hear different perspectives. I come and go from Head-Fi, so I'm not here a lot to know what content people post. Ive upgraded some components over the last year, and this amp is a GREAT upgrade. If I ever want to try upgrading tubes, I can come here and see...

    Cayin HA-3A, a Compact 6V6s Transformer-coupled Tube Amplifier

That's worth keeping in mind if I ever want to try tube rolling again. I'm likely not going to worry about it though. I have an LCD2 and tried it out switching between the Lyr2 and the stock HA-3A and the Cayin was definitely better all around. It's my only planar I was thinking "maybe this is...

    Cayin HA-3A, a Compact 6V6s Transformer-coupled Tube Amplifier

Hello everyone in this thread, I've been using this amp since July of last year and absolutely LOVE it. The Schiit Lyr 2 I was coming from is certainly no slouch, but the Cayin is better in every way, with all of the headphones I have as well. I wanted to make a post on here because I see the...

ATTICUS and EIKON, the new dynamic driver headphones from ZMF

Has anyone ever replaced their original atticus/eikon headband (with the sliders to adjust) to the newer style headbands and rods? In curious about doing this. Nothing is broken, but id like to know if i can do this myself. I didnt see the parts for sale on the ZMF site.

Good to know! With 3rd party sets, can I keep the original headband? It's the GS3000x, and I was looking forward to that bigger headband.

Anyone here ever break the gimbal from the metal rod it slides along? I was making adjustments to the headband and accidentally broke the rod, like a darned idiot :face_palm: I emailed Grado about what to do, but it was after 5:00pm on the east coast by then. I noticed Grado sells replacement...

Hi there! About 10 months ago, i bought the rs1x and have enjoyed using it quite a lot. Unfortunately, the 1/8" connector at the end of the cable is starting to yield a lot of static when it is bumped or moves slightly. This static is combined with channels cutting in and out. It also happens...

Hi there, thanks for this insight, even though you were replying to someone else. For anyone who had the RS1e and ultimately didnt like it, there can never be too much info posted about the RS1x. I felt the rs1e had some serious problems with its bass and treble, plus there was some other kinda...

ATTICUS and EIKON, the new dynamic driver headphones from ZMF

Ill second that the EL8's tonality is awesome for metal. It has enough sub-bass, but it is NOT a lush headphone. Plenty of treble and clarity. Its brighter than the lcd2 as well, but its soundstage is a little lacking compared to the atticus and lcd2. Its not slouch on its own, but it doesnt...

ATTICUS and EIKON, the new dynamic driver headphones from ZMF

I tried the atticus with lyr 2 and a garage1217 project polaris (their amps feature adjustable output impedance) and liked the lyr 2 the best by a slight margin. What was interesting with the polaris is that i found the 0.1 ohm setting the best, much more so than the 30 ohm setting. Guess that...
