There is obviously a buzz about issues regarding reliability for the $4,000 Focal headphone. Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't necessarily know of a buzz on the internet regarding reliability issues of the $600 Sennheiser.

Understood. Also, keep in mind that if the failure rate for a $600 Sennheiser is lower than the failure rate of a $4,000 Focal, then that is really, really not good.

Once again, considering the resources and depth of pockets Focal has, their failure rate should be less. Just my 2 cents.

Really? I would bet serious money that the overall failure percentage for a headphone that has been around forever such as a Sennheiser HD6XX is FAR less then the failure percentage for all of the Utopias that have been produced so far.

It's unbelievable with the resources that a company like Focal has that there are reliability issues. Completely unacceptable.

After emails with Roy, it looks like I'm going the Pallas route for my HEK Stealth and I'm very excited. Has anyone any experience with Arctic cables and the HEK series? I'm thinking the silver/copper combo will give my the best of both worlds. If it's close to the Lavri (or better, obviously)...
