Sony Walkman custom firmware (non-Android)
I brought my Sony WM1A to a holiday last year to some Indonesian island, and was stopped by the customs haha. They were very interested to check out this big brick - not sure if the customs officer was an audiophile or was worried about a bomb LOL.- baskingshark

Tanchjim in ear monitors Impressions Thread
Depends on which tuning dial is used, but in general, even on the bassiest dial, the Tanchjim 4U is not that thick in note weight. It goes for a more transparent/clear midrange rather than something gooey thick.- baskingshark

Selling ice to Eskimos Over at pokemon HQ, a cartel of minor bosses met over a table, helmed by a bigger and badder OVERLORD. But if initial reviews that I read state that it is a bit lowFI sounding, I doubt it can compete...- baskingshark

Reply to review by 'baskingshark' on item 'AFUL Explorer'
Hi @domizz The Explorer is essentially easily driven, so even a weaker Apple dongle should do the job IMO. Don't really need big power.- baskingshark

Earbuds Round-Up
Anyways, since you are here, could we introduce some poison to use in earbuds haha! In picture A, we have bona fide earbuds AKA Flatheads, where the transducer does not enter the ear canal. So earbuds lack in isolation, and generally have weaker sub-bass than IEMs (figure B), which enter the...- baskingshark

Reply to review by 'baskingshark' on item 'HIDIZS S8 PRO ROBIN'
Yeah @MidnightSun you are right about that, there is no option to select it (seems disabled somehow). I think most of the modern day DAC dongles using the similar chips all perform similarly in terms of tehchnicalities and power (with the exception of outliers), so there are stuff like filters...- baskingshark
