I thought the problem wasn't with the connector, but some kind of software switch that has to be flipped in order to activate the line out.

Yea, the outputs are disabled by default, but I'm trying to figure out if theres someway to get around it. There is an A/V dock for the Zune, but I don't know what the internals of it are, if it needs to send a signal for that. Most likely, but I dont have that stuff either. Living in Canada and working on a Zune is... kinda tough.

I have the dock for it and the usb needs to be connected to a computer for the line out to work. however the fm radio transmitter does not need external power to work so there must be some way of doing it.

If someone figures it out I will be first on the list for one.
