I was thinking on selling my Shanling M1 and change it for the new one with ESS Sabre chip but after trying this, I believe I can hold a little bit on. The only issue is that doesn't decode MQA of course. First unfold is missing but HiRes sounds great with all the benefits of this nice DAC.

The build in Tidal client in my Auralic Aries Mini streamer also handles mqa

Affirmative, our iDefender breaks USB ground loops indeed, optionally can provide clean external 5V (with adding iPower) and works with everything else in the USB line.

does the ztella or helm bolt visually show higher than 96khz for mqa in uapp? i thought it could unfold higher than that
