Hey Guys!

Just wanted to let you know that ERIS Chicago Brewery and Cider House https://www.erischicago.com/ has said that they have room for a crew of us after Festivus! We might even be able to hook up a brewery tour if you'e into that kind of thing.

If you are thinking you might be down to come get some food and drinks after we Fest, please let me know in either PM or email bevin@zmfheadphones.com with a head count.
ERIS is going to make sure they have a nice space for us and has a smaller section and a larger section which is why a headcount is preferred.

Just a note- we'll be going Dutch at ERIS as it's an informal 'grab drinks and food' just for your planning. ZMFestivus won't have any cost of admission and we'll have a bunch of the latest and greatest in finger snacks and liquid beverages.

Adding some more cans to my collection pre-meet so I can bring them with, including a Jecklin Float and a Yamaha YH5M.

I know asking is kind of pointless, but, I’d really like to be able to try an AKG K812 out on some of my amps, and, I’d love for one to be there, if anyone has one. Stacking it up against my K1000’s would be very cool~

@ISOLordByron - you are one of the people I have communicated before, and would love to finally meet in person :)
Great to see you will be at ZMFestivus!

Oh damn, you’re coming? Hey, that would be super awesome. I’ll make sure to bring all the headphones I’ve told you about, including all the Sigmas and 407/507 so you can hear them all :)

Don’t have the 812’s but do have the 872’s tonality is close to the 812’s but nothing like the K1000’s. The MySphere 3.2’s are setup like the 1000’s as in no cups or pads and are very good but don’t need the power of the 1000’s.

I had the 3.1 and 3.2 briefly and didn’t like them much compared to the proper f0 35Hz Bass Neutral K1000’s, for some reason. Some of the magic was just lost.

I’d be super eager to try the 872 on some things, if you could bring it! I’ve never actually heard one, super rare can to see out in the wild

I didn’t say they were as good as the 1000’s just they present like them but I did like them quite a bit. Yes much different than the K1000’s as almost everything is. I will bring the 872’s and I have a love hate relationship with them as they are very sensitive so don’t need power but I like them with the Mojo and can run straight out of a phone as well but I think genre specific but you can listen for yourself.

ZMFestivus II is a go! A few of us from Team Head-Fi are able to attend, so we'll be there and we're looking forward to seeing everyone again. Last year was an absolute blast and ZMFheadphones was a phenomenal host. I'm pumped that we'll be able to spend time with so many from the community in one of my favorite cities.
