Had a great time chatting with a few head-fi'ers and of course, Zach and Bevin were gracious hosts. Didn't try much beyond the Aeolus and some other ZMF cans, which I'm glad as there was some absolutely killer TOTL gear available to check out. Sounded excellent, of course. Will likely be my next major purchase. Shout out to the guy who brought the Meze Empyrean. My ears thank you.

Once again, BIG thank you to @BooUrns and @zach915m for an AMAZING event.
Having @jude @AxelCloris and @third_eye there made it a mini-CanJam for me.
Been so awesome to meet in person several people I never met before in real life - @Darthpool @L0rdGwyn @ISOLordByron to name a few, and many more that I knew from CanJams of past like @buke9 @theotherjude @HeadAmpTeam

Since there have been such nice photos posted already, and honestly I took VERY few of my own, I will add 2 ('cause no photos means it did not happen...):
First up, thanks Brent @buke9 for keeping @Watagump torch burning...

and second, had a blast at the dinner that Bevin organized! Did not take any photos during the dinner, but here is one from the brewery tour afterwards (again, to prove it happened ):

...and yes, this is beer, being aged in barrels.

Yay, candy, good work Brent. I am giving you the finger in salute.

We had such an excellent time hanging out with everyone!!! Thank you so much for your generosity of spirit in hauling your gear and allowing demos. There was so much variety- literally through the decades and brands of audio, the representation in the room was pretty neat.

So glad that people were able to connect, share music, and hang out with Nick Cage. All the personal stories of road trips, flights, awesome wives/partners saying “yeah, let’s go!” and friend groups saddling up to trek to Chicago really made me swell with what a super cool thing this community is.

Also special about this community is the respect and friendship amongst vendors. Thank you Campfire, JDS labs, Bin Chickens Vinyl Fair, iFi, and HeadAmp for coming out and sharing in the day. We really appreciate y’all!

I had a really great time and just wanted to share a giant grateful thank you!

This was my first meet and wow I was blown away by so much audio in one place.

Above all though I was overwhelmed by the goodwill and generosity of everyone I met, from the few people who visited my table to Zach and Co. for running it.

I went primarily because Takato (takato14/Dragon Cashier on Discord) pitched in to buy a Cleer Next with me and has been modifying it to some incredible results. He spotted me $20 to buy 5 raffle tickets and I won twice! An Aeolus and HeadAmp Gilmore Lite mk2! Holy crap!

I was so overwhelmed I didn't get to try setups as much as I should or make connections but I'm already planning ahead for next year. I was on such a tight schedule I forgot to ask Zach for some cables for the Aeolus but I will get in touch.
Hopefully next year things will be more planned and organized on my end so I can contribute and enjoy more.
Your first meet and you scored a Gilmore Lite Mk2 AND an Aeolus... that has to be an amazing sounding combo!

I’m glad you had a good time. From the raffle and the gear I saw there I don’t think you could have had a better first meet experience!

Enjoy your new stuff :ok_hand::metal:

Great pics!

So funny, I'm like "who's that guy listening to my gear? I don't recognize him."

It's me LOL.

So glad there are local events where you can come together and enjoy each others systems. Thanks for ZMF headphones for putting this together and finding a great location that had plenty of parking, was easy to get to, and had plenty of space. I appreciated all those that made an effort to bring out their own gear for others to experience, I felt a bit selfish in that manner.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Campfire Andromeda (snare drum snap just spectacular), the Meze Empyrean (heavenly), and the TFZ King Pro (subbass monsters with good tonality). The ZMF Auteur and the Verite were exceptional as wel, unfortunately as the day went on I could only remember certain things on the later products I demoed. Most of these products are well above my threshold of where I would choose to spend money, but that does not mean I cannot enjoy listening to them. More thoughts here. I am hoping next year I can dedicate the whole day and actually meet a few more peeps.

Looks like so much fun. Gear Envy x10. Anyone try JDS Atom with Meze Empyrean?
Not at the meet, but I have in the past. Empyrean isn't terribly demanding and the Atom is sonically a really kick-ass little amp. Sounds good together, much better than you'd expect.
