Just based on the fancy name, vérité, it's obviously going for even more neutral than the Auteur (you know, cause 'truth' = neutral).

Vérité will come with two sets of pads - Universe pads and Vérité pads, the Vérité pads will be more neutral - but don't expect a clinical ear piercing headphone, they are very neutral but do not lack impact and musicality - the universe pads add some space and 3 dimensionality, I actually think I have a slight preference towards them. I made some Vérité pads in cowhide - I'll bring them to RMAF to see if anyone thinks they're worth making for Vérité.

Ear piercing and ZMF are mutually exclusive That said the Auteur can be a touch bright on occasion - though never piercing.

Haha, I'm with you there, having just gotten an Auteur Teak and an Auteur Blackwood just last month. I'm intending on getting rid of one of them, but still...

Fantastic news on both headphones. I’ve been really wanting to buy another pair of Atticus as the sound signature was honey to my ears but the instruments felt like they could use some more air to breathe. The Aeolus looks to be a home run for me.

Per one of Zach's earlier posts, "stock wood on Verite will be oxidized silk. We're likely going with silk oak for the Aeolus."

No word on the limiteds yet.

Just when I'm saving for a tube amp for the Auteur...Aeolus sounds nice!
What intrigues me the most are those holes around the Veritas cups. Smaller ones near the grill and 1/3rd bigger grill too (vs the Auteur). Hmmm interesting approach Zach
