ZMF November 2024 // Schedule - Announcements and MEGATHREAD!

My rule for hobby & fun stuff is "If I'm not able/willing to pay cash for it today, I can't afford it."

Buying toys on credit becomes a path to disaster for many people. Please everyone, don't go there.
My rule too. I use a 2% back credit card for all larger purchases (got a new refrigerator 2 months ago) from which I harvested 2K a month ago for my new first ZMF - cocobolo ZMF Atrium Open Rarity. if I need it there's another 700 saved on the card from prior purchases. All audio purchases use that card and all the $ that accumulates over time goes into audio. And I never use any credit card unless I already have the cash on hand to pay for it. I haven't paid interest on a card in almost 30 years (yeah, older dude). Instead I get paid to use my credit cards. Try it, it is very freeing.

Speaking of the select builds, I am still dreaming of the African Blackwood AO. But then I ask myself, hey what will you do with 3 AOs? Pretty sure I'll convince myself of a reason.

PS. No need to tag @OnlySoMany . I know. :) //////

I will take care of it!!

I always use a credit card for large purchases. It provides insurance / protection etc if anything was to go wrong and secondly, I receive cash back for each £1 spent. That can be a reasonable chunk when buying expensive audio gear 😀. Mind you, I clear my balance each month so that cash back is money earned. If you don't, then it will cost you more in interest than you make from the cash back... which I like to avoid at all costs.
Same here in the US. I get 2% cash back on all purchases, don't buy unless I already have the cash on hand and always clear all balances in the current billing cycle. The pay me to use the card. Cash accumulated on that card bought me my first ZMF this year - a cocobolo Atrium Open Rarity.

Each one looks different and sounds different, so are they really the same? 🤔😁

And if you're a woman with the addiction, you tell your guy it's better than needing a home addition for clothes, shoes and bags 😄
.... just for headphone cupboards, h/p/a storage racks, external DC generator .... 💸

Last call if you truly need this, I've nearly convinced myself...
I don't think need is any part of this equation!

One of you should just buy this already, and put yourself out of your misery... :beerchug:

I want to see pictures, this one's really nice, I love green.

If anything I only see myself getting B-stocks/Rarity sets moving forward, I just love how big the variety of woods is during ZMF November.
I snagged my first ZMF and 1st choice Atrium Open in the B-Stock drop this year. From what I just read in this thread the Rarity sets in B Stock are A stock but come with the reduced accessories. Not enough wood for a full fun, etc.

Look back to post # 1,461 where the poster gives a rundown on details all the different offerings in the B-Stock sale for the quote in full. (Sorry I haven't figured how to insert the relevant quote in full. Can anyone help me on how to do this?)
Part of what was stated is this:
Oh and also Rarity headphones are A Stock. But come with a B Stock kit of accessories I believe.

Yep I got that from the description on the products in the B Stock store that include Rare headphones. For example from https://shop.zmfheadphones.com/products/verite-open-november

Rarity sets are A-Stock and have no blemishes.

Rarity // B Stock // DEMO - PACKAGE INCLUDES:

  • ZMF OFC Cable in your choice of termination
  • One Set of Installed Stock Lambskin Pads or Suede if all Suede is chosen
  • Owner's Card
  • ZMF Clamshell Case

There's always a ZMF November 2025
I'm waiting for Amboyna to come back ... so I can try to start completing a set... AO is next on my list.

The "B" stock is very tempting but with the exchange rate and taxes, it almost makes more sense to see if my dealer can get them in!

I am sticking to a certain philosophy.

Open-Back = Stabilized Resin / Flake

Closed Back = Stabilized / LTD woods

I love the natural looks on closed back due ro how much surface space it has vs the open backs with grill design.

Anyways looking forward to the Bokeh Open and the stabilized salires if there are any.

Its Mr. Dodges work of midwinterdesignworks. Here is his other type of stand he offers.

I Am salivating at what the Bokeh Opens will look like and if there is any new or rare woods like Amboyna.

You can do it!
That's a really nice combo!

His stands look great with a ZMF on them. :sunglasses:
