ZMF November 2024 // Schedule - Announcements and MEGATHREAD!

DHL Express is crazy. Got the shipping notification Friday evening (German time) and got it today at 1 PM.
Lucky, I’m using DHL Express as well, got the shipping notification Monday (6/Jan), and it’s been stuck trying to clear customs in Northern Alberta Canada since Wednesday… I can only assume that there is still a backlog of packages from the federal postal strike or that DHL messed up the paper work… either way I’m probably going to try a different carrier next time.

Hello! Is the general consensus for the Bokeh Closed and Open to use the hybrid pads as a starting point? I know the pads you receive are based on the headband chosen and that you can request different pads to be installed during the build process. I have both sets on order and just want to make sure about the most logical starting point. These are my first ZMF's. Thanks!

The hybrid pads are the stock mounted pad, which ZMF feels best portrays their sonic intents. I would agree to start there, let them burn in, see how you like the sound, then tweak from there. If you want more neutral sound, go with the all suede. If you want more bass, go all leather. The hybrid are a nice middle ground.

AC Olivewood (B-Stock) have landed! Spent the evening with them yesterday and was too mesmerized to post here…

Already out of the box, I loved the sound! They’ve been burning in since then, curious to see what’s still to come. Already have some initial observations, I’ll post in the AC thread. But here’s some pics. Very interesting how different they look depending on the lighting. Already looking forward to shooting them in some golden morning sunshine 🤩

Love that wood grain! Sometimes I regret letting go of my Olivewood AC. But the pull of B&W Ebony was too strong.

Cheers, guys! I guess some might say that the cups and the wood grain don’t match 100% which makes them less than A-Grade, but other than that I have no idea what could be “downgrading” them. There’s no split, knot, fill, anything. And also no technical issues or cosmetic stuff. Apart from the AC being a different built, there’s no difference in quality from my (significantly more expensive) CC…

I also really liked the presentation of the box, case, etc. Great way to save on cost and pass that on to the consumer! I didn’t need another seahorse case, so I’m perfectly happy with the Clamshell!

i agree on the packaging. i wouldn't mind the option to get this case always vs the seahorse case, they make it easier to store and if I want to move it, i already have a seahorse case i can use.

gorgeous set btw, agreed on the "b-stock" quality - it is outstanding

At the end of last week,i received the Atrium open November limited version in canary wood and the Atrium Closed b-stock in olive wood (with steel blocks instead of the gold that someonesl else just got 🙂)

Loving the sound of both of these from the get-go! Im not sure what it is,but these are presenting the treble in such a nice way from the start. Plenty of bass bump too,but its nothing absurd or too much.

Some epic cans getting posted here! Surprised more people aren't sharing pics.
I need some more hype while I wait for my B-stock camphor AO's!
