ZMF LTD Cocobolo and Silk

We're excited to release likely our last LTD edition for the year for the auteur, Eikon and atticus in Cocobolo. This super dense, rare and beautiful wood sounds very close to our African Blackwood run but with less weight. The sound is fast with good weight and impact behind each note. We are making 20 Closed sets (15 left as of 9.14) and 50 auteur open sets (40 left as of 9.14).

Silk wood is also available for the auteur. This is a super light-weight wood, causing more decay and "head-space" as the transients linger a little longer. It's a clean, neutral and dry sound with the still engaging tuning of the auteur. (20 units left)

ZMF 2K Copper (improved)

We took our already fantastic 2K copper cable and made it better based on user feedback. Here's the key improvements:​

• Now with Litz Enamel Coating
• Smaller strands
• More flexible and less micro-phonic coating

The 2k copper cable has over 500 strands of ultra thin copper per conductor for a total of 2044 individually litz coated strands. We've found this ultra thin litz wire to be the most resolving an d natural sounding headphone cable we've ever tried, as well as one of the most beautiful. You can also get your cable with wood jacks or eidolic plugs if desired.

Yeah send us an email when you order or leave a note at checkout. We generally have brick reddish wood or chocolate colored wood that's can be pretty dark. We will accommodate the best we can until stock is low and we don't have choices.

The wire is 18 AWG, and the overall size of the wire is 1.75mm per conductor. We could possibly do a 6 or 8 wire, send me an email through the site and we can work something out. My only major concern would be making sure we could fit an 8 wire into your connector of choice, as this would be a thick cable!

I've got both the 2K copper and Cocobolo Auteur for review at the moment, and I have to say they sound excellent!!!

While I've not heard the Auteur in other woods yet, I am very impressed with the Cocobolo. Though I may be a touch biased as Cocobolo is one of my Favorite tone woods! As for the 2K copper, it's every bit as natural and spacious as Zach mentions, I've got a few copper cables in my collection and it's a bit more detailed than many. I'll hopefully get to compare it directly to my HD 800 Copper Cable here shortly

I’m in receipt of A most beautiful set of Cocobolo Auteurs. I can say that these are by far the most incredible sounding HPs I’ve ever encountered. Perfection when it comes to Jazz, acoustic and female coice amongst other genre. Couldn’t be happier with the service, finish and detail either. Thanks so much for making such a wonderful musical instrument.
