Hey, I saw that tour as well. Damaged Justice. I was in Junior High. It was amazing.

There's a recording from the Japan leg of that tour that's a fun listen.
Yes you're right, Damaged Justice. And it was even in 88, not 89!

Top three ‘tallica songs?
Battery
Master of Puppets
One

Honorable mention: No Leaf Clover from S&M. Love that song.

Whiplash
Creeping Death
Four Horsemen

honorable mention is their cover of a deep cut from Thin Lizzy, Borderline.

That's a very hard choice!

Battery
Dyers Eve
Motorbreath

Honorable mention: Master of Puppets (hurts to even write this...)

Ask me next week and I will probably come up with 4 other tracks 😅

Now I'm very interested how they sound with the CC!

It sounds goooooooood. That’s how it sounds on the CC!

Hahaha

I went back to listen to the S&M album off the CC, too. No Leaf Clover still hits a special spot in my heart. I really love that album as a whole so after I listened to that song, I started the whole album over and listened to it in its entirety.

I swear I went months only listening to Puppets. I agree, it's my favorite Metallica album too. Curious what my fellow Metallica fans think of 72 Seasons? It's not big 4 quality, but I've been enjoying it nonetheless.
Same here, not part of their TOP5, but definitely enjoyable! And this is especially so with the CC! Been meaning to post this here anyway, as 72 Seasons is actually among my "trial" album for headphones as it is hard to get it to groove and feel organic rather than just "modern" Metallica sound (which is kinda sterile or pure loudness). The CC delivers this one with all the "finesse" it needs to bang that head and tap that foot... Same with Load!

Damn, what a nice surprise this tangent is since I’m totally turned on to Metallica right now anyway, some 70 pages into Birth, School, Metallica, Death (already read the 2nd book last year), and heavily enjoying 72 Seasons on the CC! Been meaning to listen to the entire catalog on the occasion, but was still kept busy by the AC 😅

Put in the Black Album now and thought about my ‘tallica Top10…

Super hard to boil it down to just three…

Four Horseman
The God that Failed
Master of Puppets
🤘

There are so many great songs with great moments, it really is hard to choose. I just went by the ones that I end up listening to most and first come to mind!

Alright, since I got a used one on the classifieds, my pad option was what was included, which was the suede ones. I just went ahead and ordered (and received) all other top perf pads. Question for all the CC owners…

Which pads do you guys prefer? And why?

I’m taking some time to go through them, so I started by swapping to the Thick Top Perf Lambskin and getting familiar with the sound.

im currently using the Hybrid TP, which I think are the stock option, and like them. Very balanced. Before I used the Protein TP, which I also really liked: those are bit more energetic and a touch brighter perhaps.

Same exact situation here.

That said, I am so happy now with the stock config, I don't see myself ever changing it.

Pulled trigger on a pair of Shedua LTDs... Not even home yet. Sounds beautiful coming off an IFI Go Bar.

Crazy how easy these are to drive. Susvara could never. Can't wait to hook these up to my amps. :)

For the price, is there any other tube amp I should consider to pair with the CC other than the Aegis?
