After a long 3 months of flip-flopping on what wood to get, and an agonizing decision not to go with Cocobolo, my Macassar Ebony Atrium is here!!!

I really couldn't be happier. Such an absolute stunning set that would look right at place in a museum. Zach, Bevin and the ZMF team somehow always seem to outdo themselves.

I'm going to burn these in for about 4-5 days and then to do a comparison with a stock Cherry set. I've tested some softwood/hardwood ZMF's before, but I'm interested to find out what (no matter how small) differences the Atrium has.

Can't wait to see all new Atriums, and more importantly everyone getting to hear them!
Good gawd those are stunning....congrats!

My Atriums have this issue, the cup gets stuck on the cup holder as it tilts forward / back. It didn't happen straight away.

Has anyone else had this issue? Is this a QC issue?

Sounds like some pressure may have been put on the gimbal while in use or adjusting, PSA to all zmf owners do watch our adjustment video on YouTube about the clickies!

Not saying that's what happened here but it can.

Likely we will need to bend the gimbal a little bit, it takes a bit of skill to do especially with magnesium, so we might have you send it in for a quick adjustment. Send us an email at support@zmfheadphones.com

Beautiful set probably my favorite of the bunch. Having own a Ziricote for a few years, I much prefer the look and feel of matte finish on these and the cherry's over the glossier finishes. I have a feeling this will age better and last longer.

I think the descriptions said all those would come with both the stock strap and the Bison.
Not sure. The product pages were taken down and the order confirmation doesn’t specify.

that bison strap would definitely look great on my Aged Copper/ aged cherry. :)

You should extend that offer to all aged copper buyers. :p

As stunning as these ones are, I'm so curious what they would look like with both a glossy finish and filled in pores. My b-stock Auteur Cocobolo has one side with and one without pores and I strongly prefer the cleaner look and smoother feel of the cup without pores.

I tried it and ended up sanding down the gloss set and refinishing it with osmo. Not that one or the other is better, I usually try both and take an in shop poll and go with what the preference is with our staff. Some oily woods like cocobolo we don't have a choice though, it's gotta be sprayed!
