Do Aeolus on ZMF website now come with the new cushioned headband? Anything else that's changed? Been about 6 years since I ordered my Aeolus, which I sold, but thinking about going back to it (mine did have the perforated metal filter)

The cushioned headband is now stock. The stock pads are no longer Aeolus Perf Lambskin they have switched to Universal Perf. There’s a couple mesh options that are available upon checkout as most people prefer the radial vented mesh as opposed to the stock bop mesh.

Depending on the LTD or stock model you chose the BBB Strap is included if you go with an LTD option. Stock cables are a bit different as well if your previous unit was 6 years old. Zach no longer ships the older flat style cables. And lastly the seahorse case is slightly different as well.

I have been listening with my Verite Open for a long time and has somewhat neglected my Aeolus for months.

Decided to give them some head time this weekend. Wow! Instantly reminded on how good these headphones are in delivering that intimate, warm, smooth and rich sound signature that I love. Especially so when I run it through my tube amp with the Mullard or RCA black plates preamp tubes. The vintage warm sound signature is just so addictive. Forget about speed, details and resolution. Just sit back and enjoy…Am falling in love with my mids-centric Aeolus all over again.

Had a couple nice long sessions with the Suede Ultra Perf pads on my Aeolus yesterday. I think they might stay on for a while. Or just a quick swap to verify if it’s the pads or I have just been neglecting my Aeolus and forgot how good it feels.

Got the African Blackwood Aeolus in today! Man, not gonna lie, I love the look of both Aeolus! Wish I could keep them both

I love Aeolus so much. Next ZMF is an Atrium open or Verite open or closed I think

Those both look fantastic, I'd keep 'em both! Difficult decision.

I have the Verite Open also in African Blackwood, it's so gorgeous! That wood has an amazing look to it in person, and it changes with the lighting and viewing angle. Pictures don't really capture it.

Nice. I've kept my OG Aeolus pads as well as a Radial Vented mesh for the hopes that I can buy an Aeolus again one day. I'm looking for a specific model that hasn't popped up yet.

Zach hasn't made any in the wood configuration that I'm looking for.

I'm waiting until the bespoke market opens at ZMF so I can have one custom built.

I'm looking for a Black & White Ebony. It's really high on the Janka Scale and looks amazing. I'd get Black rods and grills to avoid the screws being a different color to the grill. Black and White Ebony is extremely expensive so I highly doubt ZMF would use it on Aeolus.

If I could find an African Blackwood with Copper Rod & Grill I'd take that as well. Aeolus requires the highest Janka Scale possible in my opinion so I'd need a super hard wood to be happy with the sound. Aeolus needs a lot more speed than some of the more resolving drivers so I only really like Aeolus with dense wood.
